Elizabeth Ryan
Boise State University
PhD at BSU, advisor Owen McDougal
I am a fourth-year Ph. D. candidate in the Biomolecular Sciences Graduate Program at Boise State University working in the McDougal Lab, a food and dairy chemistry lab. My project uses pulsed electric field (PEF) technology to improve the efficiency of whey protein powder production through improved physical properties, such as viscosity and solubility. I graduated with my BS in Chemistry with minors in biology and mathematics from York University in 2021. I plan to graduate with my Ph.D. in Biomolecular Sciences in fall 2025.
