The Washington State Dairy Women promote Washington's dairy industry by improving producer-consumer relations and developing youth in dairy through the Dairy Ambassador Program and public engagement. The Washington State Dairy Ambassadors act as public relations representatives for the state’s dairy industry, speaking at dairy shows, fairs, classrooms, and political venues. Ambassadors gain professional skills and leave as life-long dairy advocates. Proceeds from the Dairy Women Scholarship Auction at the annual meeting are used for scholarships given to youth in dairy, including former ambassadors, students from dairy farms, and children of dairy employees going to four-year universities or technical colleges. Many former recipients actively work in and for the dairy industry in Washington State because as we invest in our youth, they invest back into our industry.
